Peel Leadership Centre (PLC) is currently accepting applications from individuals who have an interest in serving on the organization’s Board of Directors. Community members with expertise in the areas of Learning and Leadership Development, Business Management and Strategy, Financial Management (CPA) and Organizational Development are especially welcome to apply. 


The Board provides support and oversight to Peel Leadership Centre as it works to achieve an important mission to “cultivate, enhance and support leadership and capacity of the nonprofit sector in Peel”

The Board of Directors support the governance affairs of the organization and enables it to achieve its purpose within the framework of relevant legislation and standards.  Major duties of the Board include governing the organization through Board policies, strategic and planning objectives, CEO performance evaluation, and in providing oversight for planning, management and delivery of the services and operations.

Commitment and Term

Serving on Peel Leadership Centre’s Board involves a time commitment and attendance at the Board meetings. The Board typically meets once a month for two hours either in the morning or evening. Committees of the Board meet an average of four times per year, depending on their respective work agenda.

Directors can be elected to the Board for a maximum of three consecutive two-year terms.
